The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

I have a question for you wrasse folk...I've had my earl's wrasse contract these bristle worm like teeth on it's mouth and nose. I saw this on two occasions and they usually disappear overnight. Is this typical for wrasses? Or should I keep a closer eye on it?

I've seen them a couple of times on my Royal Gramma, but never on any of my wrasses.

To me, it's just part of life on a reef and I don't worry about it.

Is there any reef safe wrasse that is red and will get along with an established green coris wrasse?

Many Cirrhilabrus wrasses are red, but considering the temperament of the Green Coris is sometimes quite belligerent, it may not work. An acclimation box will be necessary, and even then you may not be able to add another wrasse - it simply depends on the attitude of the particular fish you have.

Because of my green coris and eight line I can not add anymore wrasse to my main DT I will be trying a Scott's or a black fin I hope it works out really want a fairy in that tank.

I would think a halichoeres biocellotus (Red lined wrasse) would work.

Unfortunately, as they mature, the back half gets pretty dark and isn't very red. Wish I could get a decent pic of mine. It's still a gorgeous fish, but I wouldn't call it red.

True green coris get nastier with size. They also range a lot in temperament. I've had one that was very nasty and one that was more easy going like a yellow coris wrasse

No my first wrasse is my famosa I have four wrasse in this tank. It's all good. if it don't work so be it will be a different story when I get the big tank.

Just bought this guy. Will try again, first one didn't eat. Big beautiful blue teeth. For some reason my phone wouldn't save the photo without the rest of the stuff so I took a snapshot.

Tusk is one of my all time fav had one before very mean guy got big fast also.
This guy will be with my large angels, a large banana wrasse, a pink streaked wrasse, yellow belly hippo, and magnificent foxface. They're all pretty bossy the banana wrasse and emperor are tank boss

Like that list bro you must send a vid my way[emoji102]

Tank is strugglin' right now. Let me get my queen angel, Annularis angel, and the tusk in there first!

Right now there's an emp and a passer angel camping out. Removed queen to treat for infection, figured I would add an Annularis back with her.

I have dinos I've been battling them off and on for two years it's so frustrating! My tank looks like it's horrendously maintained :/

Ok will be waiting [emoji274] any ideas where the dinos may be coming from ?

I've done everything. I can't figure it out its only this dang tank! I have several others without a semblance of an issue.
