Man Chris that is AWESOME!!! That's simply beautiful!! Thanks for sharing.

Man I want one. Think I could?

Great picture Chris! I'd also like a little info on him. Been looking into getting a pipefish but always thought they needed a dedicated tank and were difficult to feed.

Thanks everyone! It is a dragon pipefish. They are not too hard to keep, but definitely not for beginners. He/she eats cyclopeeze and Hikari mysis. It's in my 24"x24" LPS/Zoa tank.

Ha.. I took the tittle seriously as a " Zoo protector" LOL!!
When I read the tittle I was thinking "Hey alright some one found somthing that would pick them clean and keep them bug free! Cool !" LOL!!

I am slapping my self on the back of the head as we speak. No need to do it for me.

These guys eat pods in the wild, and stay usually in lagoon type tidal/lagoon/mangrove type areas were flow is gentle and not harsh like in a reef setting.... I had plans on getting a pair but 2 1500 seios and 2 Hydor #4's ( coming soon ) will be too much flow for them.
Beautiful animals though... just like sea horses ... the male gets the eggs stuck to his stomach till the eggs hatch... saw this on discovery channel a couple of weeks ago

Yeah those are really cool and there is a big green one with a flat belly that my LFS in Flushing, MI gets in all the time! I can just watch them as I am pretty sure my Tunzes would impale them on an Acro! #-o
