Theiling compact rollermat Ruined by new cartridge.

My friend bought the theiling compact rollermat and both of us fell in love with it i purchased one too and its been a dream..... until i purchased the dang replacement cartridge they changed the material to a new super cheap fabric that literally lets everything go past it. my friends sump is starting to get full of dusty detritus an issue he never had with the original cartridge.

If anyone knows where to buy the original material or something similar maybe a place online that can cut it to size because the roller mat is INCREDIBLE but holy hell did they fail with the new cartridge. You can literally see holes big holes everywhere............ im so mad.,...

I think it is a trade off. The original would get used quickly while the new would last much longer. They need to find a supplier which can give them the sweet spot every single time for a good price.

The trade off is not worth it. The original for me has lasted over 2 months and still going today. the original lasted my buddy about 2 months but it kept the sump spotless. The new one requires siphoning of the sump to remove buildup.

They should have left both options. Its not like they lowered the price when they went to the new cheap material they kept it the same price.

Have you asked the retailer or manufacturer if it has in fact changed? Didn’t know if you maybe got a bad one and they can resolve it?

I did contact them and they stated i got the new revised version of the filter. -_-. I bet the new one will last longer I have zero doubt about it but man I would rather get a filter that actually collect detritus like the originals

Well, that explains why my sump is full of crap and my display still has a lot of stuff floating in it. I'm not impressed at all.
