Has anyone done it is it easy to do? BRS is having a sale on them today and I hate changing out the filter socks but I don't want to spend the money if I'm unable to use it

No one has tried the rollermat on a reefer yet? I wonder if it would even fit. I'm starting to mentally plan out a 425xl build :D.

its tough cause of the GPH. the theiling is very limited. theres been rumors passed around about a beefier version in the works, but nothing set in stone that i've seen. although, people have made their own versions with success on here.

I was also thinking that making one may be the way to go. A beefier version will probably be pretty pricey. I wonder what limits the GPH on the current version and if you can just modify it?

its low, BRS has the specifics on their website, and no, you can't force more through it. it'll overflow

There was someone in the Red Sea Reefer thread that added one to their 425/525 xL, but I believe aside from the issues with flow, there was also that there is limited space above the rollermat once installed, and it was difficult to change the fleece.

I was afraid of the limited space too. Might not be worth it if it's too much of a pain to get the fleece out.

Wow, that thing looks awesome! I wonder what the price range will be.[/QUOTE]

It says "affordable" so less than $1,000,000
Haha

I bet it's slightly less than the rollermat.

I contacted them and they got back to me right away. The reply said they're shooting for under $250! Who knows if they will meet that goal but hopefully that is a good indication that the pricing will at least be reasonable.
