Sooo....I made a mistake and it's really biting me in the you-know-what. The 2 smaller rock mounds came out of my DT and are all good.
The branch looking rock USED to be in my DT but I took it out probably a year ago. I thought I had cleaned it out, bleached it, etc but well....apparently I didn't. I am currently fighting a major ugly brown algae everywhere thing. Params are doing fine suprisingly so I'm planning to move a few hermits from the DT into the tank and go lights out.
I've also been using a really fine mesh net to drag the water and pull the crud out. Ugh....stupid mistake!!

I yanked my blue hermit and the one scarlet I could find and moved them into the tank. They're doing a decent job cleaning up the rock. I plan on putting some quilt batting in the 1st back chamber to catch more algae. Since it's so cheap I can change it out every couple of days.
On the plus side, I'm seeing a MAJOR explosion of pods which will be awesome to harvest for my mandarin in the main DT!

Of the mandarin? She's pretty shy and I only see her during feeding time though she doesn't seem to go after the frozen like the other fish. I'll try though!

That's why I'm excited my 2nd tank is bursting with them. Helps cut down on the frequency of supplementing their population in my main DT
