Curious to see if anyone has done this or think it would work...

Let's say you have a massive bloom potential tank crash situation. Could you just blast the Ozone and eradicate the problem?

Has anyone ever tried this?

Theoretically maybe depending how much ozone and contact time. but uv would be most peoples first choice for that application by far .

i run ozone for increased water clarity and its ability to break down organics

Depending on how you run ozone, "blasting" it out will likely kill a lot more than bacteria. :)

Sure, don't do it without an ORP probe. I run mine for about 30 minutes a day.

I've seen plenty of tank crash threads and I've never seen Ozone mentioned as a potential quick fix to save the tank.

I don't think it is a good emergency measure for most systems.
