it was yellow and had a red streak, just like those bleeding heart scoly's. it was in a frag tank on the check out counter. prettiest shroom i've ever laid eyes on and i cannot find a picture of anything similar. can anybody hook a brother up with a pic of it or a similar shroom. gracias

sounds like a mushroom i seen its called acid drop mushroom
its golden color with red stipes and some blue splashes mixed in

I know what shroom you are talkin about. If I remember right Vic got it from out in Cali. He will not sell it, he will not tell anyone how much he paid for. It is a killer shroom. wish it would grow so I can get one. I don't know if it has a name or if anyone has given it a name.

Thanks. There was a hipment of them that came in awhile back. I know of a store in your area that had them before they moved. I also know that there were a few that were down south as well and I believe that is where WWC acquired theirs from; but I'm not positive so if I'm wrong, I'm sure I will be corrected :)

A picture would be nice.

I believe Vic has something like mine. I call it the Tie-Dye Mystery Mushroom

Wow... that is really nice... has it multiplied more than looks like 3 or slow grower ?

Wow and i don't even like shroom but gonna have to go on a hunt for one now. How much does one of these bad boy go for?

ATL had one for like 550 a while back

It's the slowest growing mushroom I've ever seen. I've had it for about three years, and I have five mushrooms now. The smaller ones start off with just the golden orange, and they slowly develop red streaks, and then lastly random patches of green. The ones in the background of the second pic are just starting to get the red now.

Like Vic, you really don't want to know what one of these costs. I look at it ever day though, and I don't regret getting it. Never seen anything else like it in the mushroom world.

Yeah, ATL had a crummy pic of a mother mushroom they were calling the Game Over mushroom or something. Looked like the same sort of species. They wanted $500 for a 1/2" baby.

What condition do these shroom need to thrive.

Just like any other mushroom i would think.

Care isn't really any different, but they are touchier for sure. They don't like massive amounts of light, IME, and moderate flow. So, yeah, really, pretty much care for them like other Discosoma, but don't expect them to multiply like others. AND, do NOT try to frag these like other Discosoma--they do not heal as fast or tolerate it as well. I tried it on a smaller (2") polyp, and it took a LONG time to heal up.
