I remember being a manager at a restaurant and having to go in Monday morning at 2 am to do counts ugh so happy I don’t have to do that anymore

No that would have just confused them more. I once had to do the audit counts where the first thing the person counted had 42 per layer. They decided EVERY item they counted was 42 per layer

We do this twice a year and every time I ask how the %#$& could you possibly have come up with that number at least 15 times during the audit

At leaset it’s not my circus anymore. My bonus is no longer tied to how well this comes out. Makes it easier to say “I don’t know how we ended up 850 units short on that”

we count things daily (not everything obviously)
If a vendor sends an rider and it’s written up short/over those items are added to counts
If a FDC tell us we sent something over/short we add it to counts
Every location has to be counted at minimum 1 every 6 months (so the computer generates these counts when needed)

Are DEA controls are counted in full Monthly….people who have proven to count but guessing are not allowed in those areas
