There's something fishy about this build...

I was told that tilefish rarely live past 6 months. Well I’ve had this one for a year now with no issues. I think they need very regular feedings and fairly peaceful tank mates but not sure. @i cant think

I have had most of my limited personal success (7-8 months with a Flashing Tile and 1.5 years with a Marcosi Tile) be from feeding more frequently (3-4 feedings a day if what I do for my wrasses as well).

Also just making sure they’re comfortable in the tank, usually by making darker hiding spots and overhangs.

Notes:
  • Found out who has been making the loud clicking: the tamarin biting off the rocks. Sounds like a pistol shrimp.
  • Found out who has been messing up my sand and excavating everywhere: the leopard. It's doing exactly what my dragon does in the other tank. It dives in, flops around, and then checks to see if the newly exposed rock has any tasty critters.
  • Realized the "silencers" on my return pipes are preventing the fat layer from draining to the sump. Fixed by removing the silencers for 20 minutes.
  • I think my NPS Gorgonian idea may be screwed, as my fox has taken a liking to my PS Gorgonian.
My pencils do that! When I first heard it I thought I had a pistol shrimp still but then I was watching the tank and they were pecking the rocks making a huge click.

I think that is their mouth clicking, not necessarily the rocks. My pencil makes the same sound even when nowhere near rocks. It's loud!

My female will do it outside of the rocks

It’s got a tree to climb!
I drop the stars in the "tree" ,makes it harder for them to escape through holes or over the top,
every so often will find the on outside of suspended box... :)

Looks like this week is our turn at a storm :confused-face: seems like this new "milton" is coming straight for cape coral next week, and a unorganized disturbance, off the west end of cuba, moving in today. Gotta get the battery backup switched over to the reef pond today

Best wishes to wherever it goes, hopefully will just die down...:(

I hope it dissipates:(

I wish, pretty sure it's coming. Something about a front coming that will keep it from going north, it's missing the wind shear right now. Yesterday they showed the spaghetti plots and almost all of them are coming right here. History says my place will be fine, just need to be prepared for power outage, but alot of people nearby are very suseptible to flooding. I'll probaly fire up the generator today and make sure it's ready to go
