Thermometer, help me read it...

On another note.
IMO I dont like using the offset stuff in electronics.
Lose power or have a spike, unplug the unit whatever and it defaults back to zero without your knowledge could spell disaster in my book.

Yes we can make unit display what we want but is that the right way to go?
I like setting things like temp controllers with default settings
IMO its sFer that way YMMV.
 
Ok i got the glass thermometer reading 79f, the inkbird is reading 81.6 and digital thermometer is 80.4. Im going to calibrate the inkbird to read 79f and let it ride. Hopefully the inkbird will keep the tank at 78f once I finish the calibration.

Like mentioned above, different places of your tank will be different temps, i.e next to the surface and next to the heater/return pump. So be wary of that
 
I have found that the Inkbird and the BRS version did not do me any justice to temp stability. I had two degree or more swings on average.
I hope yours does better.
