I'm planning a tank upgrade with the requirement that I can do automatic water changes.
Tank will be in the family room, rodi, drain and saltwater mixing tank are in basement about 20 feet away. Controller will be Apex Neptune.

It's finished basement so not willing/able to run rigid PVC pipes but pretty sure I can get tubing run with just a couple access holes cut into ceiling.

So the plan is to run 5 "tubes", an aquabus cable, and 8 conductor thermostat wire.
The tubes will be: ATO water (PMUP fed), old W, New SW (DOS fed), 2 part (DOS fed)
The aqualink will be for the 2 DOS, PMUP, and FMM for future low water sensors on the water tanks
The stat wire I was thinking for future expansion/options.

So my questions are:
1) Am I correct to assume I just need one aquabus cable and can then daisy chain all the various pumps, optical sensors and leak detectors off of that?
2) any point in running the thermostat wire? Was thinking could be used with a breakout box
3) any recommendations for what kind of tubing to run? I want something that will last many years are it will be very hard to change if it starts to disintegrate.

thanks in advance and apologies for all the questions. Want to make sure I get this right.

I used telco jumper wire for my contacts for a breakout box, you could also just run cat5.
I've got network jack on the wall the tank was going on already, figured the stat wire would be better as I could run low voltage power. Now what I will do with it I have no idea.

cany anyone confirm that I just need one aqualink cable and can then daisy chain to multiple DOS pumps and sensors?

i was going to use RO tubing but worried if I kink it when pulling through the walls it will have less flow as it hard and never goes back to fully round.
What's the tubing that comes with the tunze ATO? that's kind of a cross between RO tubing and the apex DOS tubing.

I bought 5 foot lengths of various color RO tubing from BRS, silicon tubing, airline tubing and another brand of RO and airline tubing from avast marine with the goal of picking the best tubing to pull through my walls and into basement from my tank.
In the end I decided to stick with the Apex tubing. It seems the best compromise of thickness where it will last a long time and flexibility were it wont kink as I pull it around obstacles and turns. Would have prefered something solid colored but since it's in the walls I shouldn't have to worry about algae.

So the plan is to create a bundle of aquabus cable, stranded 18/5 wire and 6 apex tubes about 40' from basement to first floor living room. I already got a nylon pull cable fished through and will pull a new one along with my bundle for any future needs. The 6 tubes are for ATO top-off, old SW and new SW, 2 part dosing and a spare. Tubing ordered, will soak it in hot water an to untangle and will then create a bundle by using zip ties every few feet.
