All 6 appear to have Uronema... 3 died already. Not sure I would ever add them to my DT if the other 3 survived. And I have a very small chalk bass in the same Qt. Won’t they always carry this parasite ?

Chromis are probably the most common vectors of Uronema next to anthias and butterflies.
Definitely think thsts what you are dealing with here unfortunately its quite swift and lethal.

Formalin bath and chloroquine phosphate treatment in QT is the best course of action with Uronema in my experience.

I know... I’m just unhappy these where sent out like this. How can you not see those open sores when bagging them to ship yesterday? It’s a pain as I’ll have to lose my cycled QT tank and bleach everything when they die.

Like I said, uronema can show up and kill fast, it could very well be possible that when the fish were bagged they didn't have open sores yet, however the stress of netting. bagging, shipping can cause immense stress on fish, which will also directly effect their immune system.
Uronema can maybe take multiple days to effect and show its signs on a healthy non stressed fish, however as soon as stress is applied, it can show up/ take effect very rapidly due to the fishes immune system/natural defenses being compromised
while Im not putting LA out of blame, it is indeed possible that the fish showed no sores/signs when initially bagged.

Sorry for the situation though.

I’ve seen it show up on a healthy looking fish in a few hours and death the same day

I’d contact them and make sure they gave me a credit that’s not acceptable.

Whenever I get chromis and anthias, before they are even introduced to my QT tank they get a 1 hour formalin dip/bath in a container with an airstone (important- as formalin can drastically reduce dissolved O2 levels)
Afterwards, my preferred method of QT prophylactic treatment is chloroquine phosphate in addition to feeding foods "laced" with metro/prazi, however, I recommend a 7 day period between the course of CP treatment and using praziquantel because of the potential liver toxicity that can occur when the two treatments are done simultaneously.

We’re these from divers den or regular live aquaria? I think regular live aquaria stock ships straight from the wholesaler, so it’s really the fault of the wholesaler. Either way it sucks. Last year I ordered anthias from regular live aquaria that also had uronema and died. I then ordered 3 more from divers den, they arrived much healthier and no uronema. I buy strictly from divers den now

From regular LA. I also try to order from DD. I’ve never had a issue with fish from DD. I’m done with Chromies. I hate to pay the premium for DD but it’s the way to go.
