So like everyone else with these things they came in on corals. I have them all over some are red some are white, I did like 4 days of non stop reading and videos about them and how to get rid of them.

My question is, if I take all my rock work out and place it in trash cans with seawater will they eventually starve to death? Also I have a ton of white dry rocks that I'm thinking of throwing in while my good rocks get rid of these God forsaken snails that do nothing but bother my beautiful corals all day and night.

Yup, that's what I did. Have to be vigilant, they will pop up when you think you got them all.

Yeah I literally used 3 tubes of glue already gluing the openings and I haven't even scratched the surface, they just multiply by the day, I looked everywhere for the colony that's putting out the eggs and can't find it... They're all over my corals and I'm just gluing and gluing everyday, I cut back on feeding also. I'm really thinking it'll be worth it to just put all my corals in a frag tank and keep my fish in the display with the white rock... Will these spread to my white rocks even tho the old rocks will be out?

Am I better off just letting the aquascape sit in the sun for a few days? IDC about bacteria or pods, I don't want these snails anymore.

I just kept them in check. Removed the rock when I saw them, glued it and set rock back. Rinse repeat. You will get them all eventually.

You would let them just continue to kill off coral? I have them everywhere at this point. My rock looks like it has acne from all the white spots of glue. I see them just spreading faster since I started gluing, its like they know what I'm up to here.

I never bothered to do anything about them and they eventually just died off. There’s are still a bunch of pointy tubes in my tank but nothing comes out of them.

I‘ve personally never done anything about them, the population explodes in the beginning of young tanks and then it crashes. Older tanks they tend to be in dark areas and in very limited numbers and don’t bother anything in my experience.

This is what I've seen too.

Crush them. It appears that they can get around the super glue. Get some needle nose and crush them, or get a dental pick and do it from the inside out.

I took out what rocks I could and crushed them with bone cutters. Also threw in a bunch of bumblebee snails. I don't think they'll ever be 100% gone but it's a lot better. Have been thinking about getting one of those lasers some people try to use on Aptasia and burn them too.

This has been working for me as well. I just use a big forceps and crush the lower part of them.

I say feed a little less and just be patient, they will mostly die off and eventually you'll barely notice them (I've had them for years, they don't bother me anymore)

Three things that have worked well for me:
1) bumblebee snails - they consume the smaller vermetids, shell and all. I just loaded 50 more into my 300 so I think I have around 80 or 90 in there. They DO work, but only for the small vermetids.
2) manually crush, chop the large vermetids. The fish will actually eat them once they are crushed and exposed. The large ones do not proliferate as quickly as the small ones so they are easier to combat manually in my experience.
3) Scotch - just chill out and enjoy your tank with a nice single malt. :0)
