These little dots

I ask assistance in identifying the small translucent “dots in the photo below. I’ve circled one, but there are plenty more where that came from.


To the naked eye they appear to be generally circular in shape and slightly larger than spirorbid worms. They are all over my rock work.

any ideas?

Do you have any Nerite snails?

Looks like nerite eggs, more often found them on glass. Or maybe just more easily visible.

Yes.

I routinely find snail eggs on my glass and I have quite a few baby Trochous snails running around my tank. These are larger. I will try to measure when I get home tonight.

Those are probably Nerite eggs - some Nerite species' eggs can get up to 4.5mm in diameter.
