So I have researched this topic about 2 years ago with no luck ... but checking back in to see if anyone has cracked this case yet .. this is WITH OUT A DOUBT my main headache with this hobby ... those stupid purple clove polyps that spread like wildfire on your live rock and soon have totally over taken your tank ...

I went to the lengths previously, when I moved tanks, to swap ALL my live rock out (and I have a 145 gallon 6 foot long tank) with new rock (losing money within the process because of course I did not get the true value of all my rocks back) and I now AM STILL getting this stupid things showing up.

I know many of the treatment options are harmful towards sps and other corals .. so I am just wondering if anyone has found a way to combat this issue.

MAN ON MAN I HATE THESE THINGS!!!

Ahh ok. ...think I read something about this some time back ....I am just terrified of loaing any sps ...although everyone says the sps are fine it seems

Yah fluke tabs was the one solution...BUT you can't buy them anymore. ...right?

Fluke tabs were made of
Mebendazole
http://www.chemicalbook.com/ChemicalProductProperty_EN_CB8700094.htm

and

Metrifonate
http://webbook.nist.gov/cgi/cbook.cgi?ID=C52686&Mask=200

You can always try to find these two ingredients separately. Probably is difficult though. Metrifonate seems to have gone out of use due to its lack of effectivity when compared to Praziquantel. You could try Praziquantel in a controlled experiment.
