They best way to add equipment?

Hi Reef World.

I have been part of the planted aquarium world since 2016, I use IM tanks for my planted aquariums. I finally deiced to start a reef tank. I was going to start with the 25 lagoon that I have but the stand that came with also can have a 40 Fusion on it. So I decided to buy that tank to start with my reef tank. I know the whole cycling that I would need to do.

But was wondering around what time should i add the certain equipment. I want to add a skimmer and chaeto reactor. I know you can add a reactor to one of the baffles but I don't want cut the backing on the film. I rather have a canister like chaeto reactor.

What are the best chaeto reactors, when should I add it?

What are the best skimmers for IM Nuvo Fusion 40 , when should I add it?

any other suggestions on anything else to help me succeed in the reed world?
