They Poop, Therefore They Eat!

For those that don't feel Palys need to be fed, proof that they do indeed eat!

I didn't think anyone doubted that some of them will eat. Certain "Palys" will accept food others will not. That first pic looks like excess zooxanthellae being released, perhaps zooxanthellae poop

agreed...the pic is zooxanthellae being expelled...not your food your feeding them

yep agree on 1st picture
2nd picture is something not commonly seen as it looks like spawning eggs sacks (yes palys do/can spawn this way)

I assumed that was a pic of it eating something (krill?). So you're saying that's not what it is?

I have had some palys eat but never a zoa. That does not mean they do not eat bacteria or take nutrients up from the water.

I agree the first pic looks like zooxanthellae to me... i have seen this many times with lps's
