What things that are used for reef tanks do you use to make life easier or just to have fun?
I personally use an old ATO on my Christmas tree to top off the water so I don't have to worry about it.

For me it's the other way around. I really can't think of any reefing equipment I repurpose for other uses. Now the list of non reefing equipment that gets repurposed as reefing equipment is endless.

For me it's the other way around. I really can't think of any reefing equipment I repurpose for other uses. Now the list of non reefing equipment that gets repurposed as reefing equipment is endless.

9 times out of 10 the thing I'm looking for is in my tank cabinet. knifes, my tooth brush, screw drivers and spoons.

I use flake food to feed my kids. First time I let my 3 year old “feed the fish”, she dropped the pinch of flake into the tank and then licked her fingers. Said it tasted pretty good…

Same, was using a reverse osmosis setup for drinking water for years, had a eureka moment and added a tee at the just before the bladder output + some di resin and walla, aquarium water.

Our new house is on hard water and already has RO setup whole house, would also be an easy mod
