The other day I saw something scary and yet amazing!! I quickly got shots with the camera phone so they are not the usual quality But you should get the idea.


So we are all taught things like:

Dont touch a HOT stove
Dont play in the street ect.

I wonder... This clowns Momma didnt teach it

DONT HOST in a Rhyzo Trochus Typhus

He is just so comfortable LOL

For all of you purests out there Yes I know that this species of fish is not normally found at 800ft deep in the same environment as the Rhyzo and I further understand that I should not keep them together...

Rhyzo's will NOT eat a healthy fish, I would be more worried about the rhyzo.

When my clowns were hosting in my elegance corals, they never ever showed any signs of wear and tear, however, over time, their tentacles no longer had any stickiness left....to the point where they really couldnt feed.

That I think is more the issue than anything else.

Interesting point that you have there Junior... I know and agree that clowns should be "properly kept" however my clowns in even my 400 display long ago abandoned thier anemones and moved into my very large Elegance as you mention... Clowns never seem to host where you (I) choose for them to be. They moved into the elegance like 2 years ago... the Elegance seemed to very quickly loose all of the stickyness that you relate... The good news however is they they have continued to grow and thrive... My bet is that although they would probably 'Like" to feed AND Photo... The intense lighting is able to supply enough nutrient??? Did your elegance survive? Mine simply do not seem as if they could be any happier even after this long of clown abuse.
