One of these threads appears just about every month on here...
The fact of the matter is that very few palys contain palytoxin and NOBODY on any message board has ever provided any scientific PROOF that they were poisoned by palytoxin. Yes, it's a great idea to wash your hands and not rub your eyes but you're more likely to end up with a nasty infection than palytoxin poisoning. Hundreds (maybe even thousands) of people handle zoas/palys every day, including myself, never washing their hands and have never had any issues. Keep that in mind.
Let's not blow this out of proportion again.
Personally I'd be more concerned with poking yourself on a vermetid snail and getting an infection, I've been there and could have lost a hand.
