Have you tried to blow the slimming stuff off ?

Mushrooms are REALLY hard to kill. Did it get stung by something? Very odd as mushrooms tend to win most fights with other coral. Most notibly, the chalices.
Ive injected some unwanted mushrooms in my tank with pure kalk solution and they melt but always come back to life lol
