think this is a sponge not quite sure

I have this growing around my Zoas just not sure if it is a sponge or not. I googled some pics but can't seem to find a match to what I am seeing here.

anyone have an idea what it might be?

yeah the white tanish stuff. I can't quite make out what it is but it is growing slowly.

I just removed this from my zoas yesterday . It wasn’t as much but assumed it was a sponge .
