thinking about changing from kessil to reef radiance

I currently have a 60 gallon cube running a kessil a360w. Thinking of switching to the reef radiance pro series. Any thoughts on if it would be worth it? Any benefits?

Just my opinion but kessils are very under rated they are full spectrum in the sense that a white led has more then one spectrum of light and I believe they use both cool and warm whites and of course blue. When manufacturers list full spectrum and there array of colors those are specific diodes of one color. To create a full spectrum any child can remember that white consists of many colors of light. Which is why white and blue will grow colors just fine. Although the array of specific diodes may make colors look better besides the red led and specific blues the rest are for looks and there's no scientific and or otherwise data to prove that they are beneficial. Kessils are proven and great lights

I got my reef radiance lumentek pro 180 a couple of months ago. As soon as I turned the fixture on I knew this was not the light for me. I'm not a fan of the blue spectrum they use. Yes I did test it under my par meter and it does have good par, but still cannot get over the spectrum of blue they use. I plan on selling the lumentek and ordering a radion gen 3 pro this week. Just my opinion.

I just set up a 60 cube with my old reef radiance 132e. I don't have coral yet but I think that a reef radiance fixture will be more than enough for the cube. Good luck!

I am glad you posted this. I, too, am looking to change my lighting. I have been looking at both Kessils and Reef Radiance. The cost for the reef radiance to cover my 48" tank would be much less than the two kessils, but I want to make sure I like that light. The fact that the Reef Radiance are programmable without a separate controller is pretty nice.

Im not saying other lights arent capable or good. Kessils are however a very good light i get better growth from zooas and lps with that then my 8 bulb t5
