I've always run my tank (and previous tank) with an algae scrubber. However, I'm debating whether I should switch some things up regarding nutrient export.

Lately I've had a really tough time balancing out nutrient levels. Im thinking that other methods might offer some more fine tuned control.

I'm thinking about going with biopellets, a decent sized fuge, and gfo as needed. What do you think and what is your preferred nutrient export method?

I run a large skimmer, refugium w/ macroalge, and marinepure or brightwell media blocks. All easy to maintain. I used to eun GFO and GAC regularly, but noticed my corals were paling and receding. I pulled the chemical media and everything colored up nicely. I sold all my reactors and media after seeing that happen. Good luck!

Do you have a turbo aquatics scrubber you are looking to sell?

Do you do any carbon dosing?

It's a diy. I've looked all over for used turbo scrubbers before I built mine. Not many out there, but that must mean they're working :)
