alright so my dad has a 300-350 g tank give or take the rock. There are 3 tangs- naso, yellow ,and tonimi. 2 skunk clowns. And a cow fish. In this tank there are lots of corals and I was wondering if it would be a good idea for him to purchase one since he was asking me how I would like it.
What do you guys think are the main factors that could influence this decision?

Nice fish but can be finicky with feeding and prone to viral cauliflower
Assure you have proper diet and the fish is eating PRIOR to purchase

I’d be careful if fleshy LPS are in the tank as they could be a feast quite quickly with any angelfish.
Other than that the advice given is very good. Another good move if possible is getting a CB regal, they should be feeding already however will be ridiculously small so I’d recommend using an acclimation box.

I would not put a regal into an established tank with tangs. Regals are very shy & slow eaters and will not out compete the fast moving tangs for food. If you have LPS & soft corals, most will be eaten by regals. My regals can’t even out complete chromis for food and the angels are twice their size. If you still want to try, use a QT for at least a month or more until you get the fish used to feeding from you. Then use an acclimation box when introducing to display tank. Just my 2cents based on my experience.

Only one minor thing I would add if you get the Regal: plan to supplement with seaweed (I like TLF Green and Red SeaVeggies). This ensures that the tangs and angels always have something to nibble on. I'd probably invest in two clips given the number of tangs already present.
