Thinking about getting a used Radion Xr30 G3

Recently i have been thinking about upgrading my lights from a AI Hydra 26HD to a used XR 30 G3. I'm wonder if the G3 can meet 2021 standards in a SPS dominant reef tank, as well as provide a rich, purple-uv spectrum that really makes the coral pop. I've always been a fan of Ecotech's products but never felt like spending the money. Considering that the deal is about 200 shipped with a reef link module, i feel it's a good deal.

Keep in-mind that LEDs have a set lifespan. No, I don’t think the G3 will give you 2021 equivalent lighting. There’s quite a difference between the G3 and G5, but ultimately it’s up to you.

All you need is a single XR15 Blue or Pro. You don’t need the ReefLink with any g5 Radion. The XR30 G3 will probably work fine too (fewer LEDs).

Blue is designed more with SPS in-mind, and the Pro has more non-blue LEDs in it.

How much for the xr30?

Seems like a single g5 xr15 would work just fine. Or a reefi uno would easily handle sps dominated tank that size, and it's only $350 brand new, and has a 3yr warranty
