Thinking about getting a water softener

Anyone using one? We've got pretty hard water, with chloramines, and its rough on our RO/DI system so I've been thinking about getting one for the house.

Any advice/suggestions?

Your RO membrane will be happy.

A water softener replaces calcium and magnesium with sodium or potassium, which are easier for your membrane to handle....extending the life of your membrane.
