I was down at my local Petco and was looking through their saltwater fish, as I stopped into get some dog treats, and was looking at their 2 foxface. Now I know that Petco isnt the best place to buy fish from and was thinking about picking up one of the foxfaces and trying to save it. Talking to the sales person he said the one was eating like a pig (which is always a good thing), and if I would get one I was going to QT before adding it to my DT.

I was hoping you guys could help give me some insight on what I might be dealing with before getting one. I did take pics which should help out 20171019_185624[1].jpg 20171019_185628[1].jpg 20171019_185636[1].jpg 20171019_185637[1].jpg

Yup copper is your friend here!

It's always safe to assume ich/velvet especially when dealing with Petco. That fish actually looks pretty darn good considering that.... at least outwardly. Him eating is a good sign as well. As long as you QT him properly, then I think he's got a good shot with ya.

I'm hoping, I know I was gonna for a full QT with feeding him and keeping an eye on him. The guy was telling him the smaller one loves to attack Nori which is good. I think Im gonna get him once I get my QT tank up. What do i really need for like a 20 gal qt?
