I'm debating adding a 2 bulb T5 fixture to my current Kessil setup or just going all T5. Is anyone in the club still using T5? Would a 4 bulb fixture be enough for LPS in a 24 inch deep tank?

I have a 4ft 120 reef, im using a 4 bulb T5 fixture and havent had any issues growing anything.

I love LED's but I'm fairly certain my next build will be either T5 or T5/MH combo with royal blue LED accents. I had 8 T5 bulbs over my 120 and I always felt it could have had 6 to accomplish the same job.

Id like to have 6 or 8 on ours just for more coverage, but the 4 does well. I just dont have anything at the back of the tank and keep the light closer to the front.

I had really good growth with my Kessil's over shallow tanks (12") but I don't seen to be getting any growth know that they are on a 24" deep tank. I transferred the tank four months ago and I don't seem to have any new growth. I'm wondering if the Kessil's are starting to fade. They are several years old.

I am getting a 8 bulb x 80 watt 60 inch ATI T5HO fixture when I get my new tank in. I may supplement with LED'so but I'm not certain on that.

I've bought retrofit t5 fixtures to add 4 bulbs to my current LED setup. I want to boost growth and try to fix some coloring issues in my acros that have bothered me for a while. Will let you know how it goes.
