I am thinking of going this route on a large 36X24X20-24 tank custom built by SCA. Assuming displacement by live rock and sand, Id expect about a display of 65g-80g water volume.
My primary concern is how to accomplish in tank flow for the obvious reason of anemones walking and being killed. I understand they can be sucked into power heads or even closed loop style inlets.
Two options come to mind:
1. A single sea swirl - multi-swirl with 2000 - 3000 GPH flow oscillating pattern.
2. Two over the top return lines 1 inch with VCA's Random Flow Generator outlets for a total of 2000+/- gph.
Both would use a modular marine external bean animal overflow, an over sized one.
Is this enough flow?
