thinking of a fowlr

I had a fowlr for awhile and now in the process of turning it into a reef, 50g tank. Majority of the nonreef safe fish require bigger tanks. But there are some you could put in there, like a smaller lion fish, Toby puffer, snowflake eel or dwarf angel fish. I love predator fish but for me I would need a 200g tank for a porcupine puffer and triggers.

Im working in reverse I started with a 56 gallon reef and now going to the predatory fish...I'm not set on 75 gallon it's 48x18 dimension

What fish do you like/want?

Of course the lion,a blue jaw trigger, harliquin tusk...blue hippo....after that who knows. I let my kids do alot of the recommendations

Then i would build the tank around those choices. The tank is going to have to be at least 180g.

I would love a tank that big but don't have the room...guess I'll need to rethink the fish

What's the biggest tank you could get?

You could get a 120g which is 4x2x2

You would have to do some research to see what fish you could put in a 120g, keeping swimming requirements in mind. But you could definitely keep a lion fish, Toby puffer, dwarf angels. I'm not positive on foot print requirements for triggers but you may be able to put a bursa trigger or blue throat trigger in there. I think their gallon requirements are about 125g. Hopefully someone with some more knowledge than me chimes in to help but sounds like you need to make room for a 6' long tank;)

I tried for about every other week wcs but a big skimmer will help with that. Bigger the better with these predator fish.

Then you should be fine. Any way you could rearrange or something to put in a 6' tank?
