I recently got my 75 gal tank about a month ago first one. About 2 weeks ago I started cycling it, and was planning on making it a FOWLR. However, after seeing some great pics from you guys I want to change and perhaps put in a few beginner corals and perhaps more advanced down the road. I currently have 55Ibs of live rock and a 1'' sand bed. I'm running a fluval 406 canister filter, 1 Jaebo RW-8, and 1 48'' orbit LED lighting. If I was going to make the switch what else would I need, also what kind of specs should my lighting be?

Thanks!

Take a look in the for sale thread. There is a really nice reefoctopus skimmer for sale for a great price.

I'll be looking at getting a hang on the back because I don't have a refugium or anything like that.

Thats better(hang on the back) i think, there is no need for a sump with a good protien skimmer, but there is better than that take a look at (diy turf algae scrubber, you can do it at the back of your tank and its better than a protien skimmer

I ran the BH-1000 on my 26g for 2yrs. Definitely in my case was a bit overkill but my tank was jammed.
For a 55g I recommend the BH-2000. Think ahead! Your going to fill your tank with corals-lol. So it really depends on your bio-load.
