Hey guys.
Thinking about asking Santa for a second MP40WQD for Christmas. Right now I have one MP40WQD that is in the back center of my 90 gallon and one small koralia on the bottom side pushing water along the back of the tank. I switch between reef crest and lagoon mode at 60%-70%. Corals seem to be liking the flow, with minimal dead spots but with it being on the back, my sand in the front hates it lol. If I turn the flow down to about 30% the sand stays put but that's not enough to move the water all over my tank in a way I would like. I would ideally like two pumps on the back glass turned down at a lower rate to achieve flow throughout the tank(aesthetic reasons) . I'm not against a pump on each side either though. I would definitely need a second MP40 IMO if I wanted to use the sides. These things aren't cheap lol...Is it worth getting a second pump? Is two MP40s overkill?
