Ok thinking of getting some new fish and Wrasse is up at the top of the list ..Now can you have multiple species of Wrasse and have them live together in a 120 without them fighting or is there a limit as to how many Wrasse can be kept per cubic foot or gallon of water? I was thinking of getting A flasher wrasse, golden rhomboidalis wrasse, red velvet fairy Wrasse maybe two female one male . Now will cohabitation of all these fish be successful or will there be fighting for territory ?also how will they do with tangs and some anthias ? Is anyone keeping a tank with all these fish..? any intel is appreciated
Roger

I had 2 fairy, 2 lyretails, 2 clowns, and a scopas tang. There was a little friction with anthias and wrasses at first(jockeying if you will) but they got along great after. BUT one wrasse disappeared about 4 months in and I have no idea where and why?:)

I have a mccoskers flasher wrasse with 8 anthias in my 250 with no issues. I have a initial phase male and a female mccoskers coming in next week. I hope I don't run into any issues introducing them. I have heard a day or 2 in an acclimation box can really help out with introducing new wrasses into a system. Good luck with everything. I hope it all works out. Wrasse's are some cool fish IMO. They are also known to be jumpers. So make sure to have something in place to keep them off the carpet.

awesome post some pics when they come in , I was thinking like 3 wrasse one pair and one different along with 3 anthias male and 2 female say sunburst and two other anthias different all together ..should i buy them all at once or within the month or does it matter who goes in first?

I have 4 leopard wrasses, a china wrasse, and a yellow wrasse along with half a dozen other fish in my 75G, which is only 30"x24". There are mean wrasses, and peaceful wrasses, just pick correctly and you will be fine with quite a few different types, or else go with a harem of wrasses, 1 male and half a dozen females.

Red Velvets can be overbearing. They tend to go after any fairy wrasses IME. I've had males that were pretty **** hard on the females and I've had females without a male present that were very hard on other females.

Rhomboids are very peaceful.

Red Sea Eightline Flashers are in the middle. Right now I have a male Pink Margin and an Red Sea Eightline Flasher and a Mauritius Adorned Wrasse in a 10g holding tank and all is pretty good. Once in a while the Flasher will dart after the Pink Margin but nothing serious and none have tattered fins and all are eating well and showing no signs of stress.

IMO, Hooded Fairies are an excellent choice for peaceful additions. They did well with any Rhomboids, Lineatus, Red Velvets (but RV's not so good with them), Fine-spotted fairies, a few types of anthias and other wrasses like halicheores and Cryptic Sixlines (peaceful species not like the regular Sixlines).

Flashers (especially the RS Eightline) can be an issue with tangs like Zebrosomas IME because when they Flash, it is very similiar to Black, Purple, Yellow & Sailfins spreading their fins out to establish dominance. I've had some of my RS 8Lines and tangs do a little dance but I shuffled them before it ever became anything.
