Well, I guess I'm more than thinking about it since I bought a 24x24x10 tank. I will probably keep a mix of sps and zoas/palys just like my main tank. This will not be plumbed in as I do not have the room.

What lighting would you suggest for this size frag tank? I only run 6 t5 on my MT.

Why not do 4x24 or 6x24 T5 on this tank as well? I mean, there are too many options, but I figure since you have T5s already...

I am personally an advocate of MH, but with my current frag tank that is 24" x 16" x 8", the coverage is lacking, so a nice, powerful t5 would be a good way to go unless you want to run 2 metal halides or a custom LED system.

I'm with Kraylen. I have T5's on my display and my frag tank. I ran a halide on my frag tank for a couple of months but anytime I transferred frags to my display, I had to reacclimate them. This way, the corals don't color down and I can swap from tank to tank with no light shock. I had a similar sized frag tank and ran a 6 bulb ATI Powermodule over it. It worked really well with great coverage. You could probably get away with a 4 bulb cut if you plan on keeping any SPS in there down the road, I would go with the 6-bulb. As you know, you can play around with bulb combos to get the best colors out of the corals you do put in there.

Just my two cents...have fun....I spend more time in front of my frag tank than I do my display most times...lol. That is where I have all of my chalices though...
