well I need to put more corals in my tank since I lost my sps , and was thinking of zoanthids which zoo's grow the fastest and which take for ever would like to get both..also notice that the one's that grow the slowest seem to the expensive ones if you have some pics to help me choose a nice array of colors that would be nice too..
Roger

For color my top 5 are : Bowsers, Utter chaos, Red hornets, Space monster, Blue space monster (my camera does NOT capture any of the beauty in these corals so i won't waste my time lol) As for best growers tubb blues, kedds reds, armor of god, gobbstoppers, and blue hornets are ones that seem to grow well. Some that grow slow are my purple people eaters, purple hornets, candy apple reds and my yellow jackets. What kind of lights do you have?

Some of the really cheap ones grow super fast. Ones like radioactive dragon eye, watermelons, and eagle eye zoas are all fast growers. I have a colony of Mohawks that have grown very fast as well.

I know you said your camera cannot get a good picture but I can not find a picture of a Bowser anywhere. I've heard they look incredible, if so I want to find it and add it to my collection. I can't even find them on any of the vendons website? Where do you get yours?

Wow, Bowsers actually look almost exactly like my colony of Candy Apple Reds, or its possible that mine are Bowsers. I've never really looked at them before. Here is a pic from CoralPedia.com:

Here is my macro shot of my Candy Apple Reds. They actually look more like the polyp above though:

there are some many different types of zoas that it is pretty scary as for colors man what more do you want. Also some are pretty reasonably price and birght. Check out exoticfrags.us he has photos of tons of different zoas. Some of them are really pricey. I have found his prices to be higher than others but it can at least give you an idea of what your looking for. I would check out the buy sell forums on here and check out some frag packs people usually have good ones at decent prices.

I think you might be on to something. They look exactly the same.

They do look the same BTK, if you want to go a little higher end my Red hornets and purple hornets grow super fast, blue dont for me though for some reason.

Yeah, kinda makes me mad, haha. I might have to frag some off and put them in a different spot in my tank to see if the red comes back on them. I've always been under the impression they were Candy Apple Reds :) Mine used to have more red in the skirts and such.

Anyway, these suckers grow like crazy for me. I fragged out my colony a few months back, leaving only 20 polyps or so, and I have at least 50 already.

If i was in the market for browsers and you showed me them i would think they are just not a vibrant. But you didn’t buy them as them so you can't call them, them. Also browsers from my knowledge are pain staking slow growers.

I got my bowser from a guy here in the mitten. I know this is getting off topic but I have candle apple reds and a bowser and I can tell you side by side it's a night & day difference lol. IMO whammin watermelon and/or eagle eyes are awesome because they're cheap and grow fast.

Thanks. I believe they used to be much more red when I got them, I'll have to go back and see if I have pics of the frag.

My purple deaths use to grow fast. Also dragon eyes and eagle eyes like everyone else has mentioned. Also depends how clean your water is. Zoas do not really like SPS water quality. They like it a little dirty.

Wow where to start. There are so many different colors of zoa's and play's and morphs of everyone lol.Zoaid has pictures of many of them.I love the colors in the purple, red, and blue hornets.
Which are on the higher end.Nightmares, mohawk's or anything that has the glitter effect is also a pluse.Good luck in your search and please keep us updated
