Thinking of switching to All for Reef

I'm fairly new to this but I've been dosing Kalk for a while and have recently started Red Sea ABCD. I only have a Nano tank so cost isn't really a major factor.

I've been having problems with the Kalk tube getting blocked and it occasionally drops a load of crap into the tank. I'm thinking of switching to AFR (and I also have a second Nano shortly to be an SPS tank that I'm manually dosing at the moment which I could use it for).

It seems pretty popular. I guess that there is a slight limitation of not being able to adjust each parameter separately, but is anyone finding this an issue in practice?

Does it dose 'clean' (i.e. will my blockage problem with kalk go away)?

Do you think it is worth the switch?

i have no experience with the powder version, but i dose the liquid version daily(actually about 3-5 days a week. truly depends on my levels..)

i’ve found it does not move Mag much at all. Alk is definitely what this product moves mainly, followed by Cal and then trace elements.

That's actually good for me.

My mag is almost always high and I have some BRS magnesium mix on the rare occasion that it does need a little boost.

i dose red sea ABC alongside A4R. i find i only ever need to dose alk and cal. so if this is what you’re looking for, this will serve that

I expect that, like any two part system, that is exactly the intended effect. Use it over time and magnesium will not change (up or down)

You will never notice the effect on magnesium from a single dose or two of any of these systems. Much too small.

The amount of magnesium needed in any of these products is also largely guesswork since the type of organism using the calcium and alk will alter the magnesium demand, with coralline being higher and many corals being lower.
