thinking on downgrading from a 120g to a 93g cube

hi everyone,

I just setting up a 120g not too long ago (10 months now). The tank is in the basement.
it's an SPS dominated reef and everything is doing great. (from coral growth, color and maintenance).

However, because it's in the basement and I do not get to enjoy as much.
I do not want to run something big like a 120g in the upstair (just too dangerous).

Because of that, I am thinking of going to downgrade to something smaller (something like either 93g or a 40g breeder).

I want to stay in the hobby. With so much time, money and dedication putting into the tank. I sometimes want to sit down and enjoy the tank as well.

has anyone downgraded? what is your experience after going smaller?

I am just wondering what is it like to go from a 4ft long to a 2 -1/2 tank feel like?

There isn't a huge difference in weight (and average floor pressure) between a 120 and 93 cube... Actually the floor pressure is the same.

but the 120g is taking up so much space

I have 40g breeder and wanting to upgrade to a 93 gallon cube. (Probably doesn't help)

Even though a 120g is a little lighter it's footprint spans more joists/floor, so in that aspect it's kind of a wash.
I would have no fear of a 120g being on a 2nd floor as long as there are no framing concerns/built to code.(I'm a general contractor BTW)
Anything over that size I begin to question.
