Hi reef 2 reef,
Today I received my online order of corals from a company in California. Anyway, when it arrived it definitely was not healthy. It came in a stinky, murky bag of water with polyps floating all in the bag. I still decided to acclimate and dip the coral just in case it could make a recovery. By the looks of it now that the lights off, it appears to be just about fully dead. What do you guys think I should do.

Leave it be; If you're patient, there is a chance for some recovery but it will take a long time.

I agree - I'd still wait it out.

Just don't do anything else to the coral unless you absolutely have to. Leave it to settle and acclimate to your tank.

He's pretty banged up, but I've had plently of near-dead corals pull through once they got away from the stress that caused the problem and into a well-kept tank!!

Good luck!

I agree with the rest I have had some come back from the grave before. Your looks mostly dead but mostly dead means it still has some signs of life and that's all it needs to comeback.

So don't move it at all and just leave it there sitting in the sand bed? As long as some polyps are still in tack we are in luck I would assume? However I have noticed more and more flesh peeling of since I have added it to the tank.
