so, the mushrooms in my tank are Rapidly taking over the space they are in. They are invading space for other zoas and such and I need to thin them out. they are attached to a VERY large rock, so removal of it is out of the question. any suggestions on thinning them out?

What kind are they? The reds by chance?

I used to have my dad hold a siphon as close to the mushrooms as he could so they would stretch from the rocks and then I would cut them off at the base. The remaining tissue was then smothered with epoxy. It was definitely a little tedious, but it worked.
