Third time better be the charm

Rather than splurge on a t5 fixture and more corals I decided to use the $$ for another Blackbeards trip in May and a dive compass. The trip to the Red Sea is still on for October, but with things over there getting more and more unsettled I may not be going. It's all going to depend on what happens over the next few months.
Set up the ph controller. It's reading a solid 8.0 so once I get the scrubber hooked up I'm hoping I can get it up to 8.3. Got a new pump for the office tank water changes and a little wavemakers. Only thing left now is the doser.
I think I may have figured out a way to feed while I'm gone too. Going to see if I can hook up the AWC to feed thawed frozen from a mini fridge.

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! Forget Thanksgiving, forget Christmas. Today folks is the biggest day of the year. Well second to the Daytona 500.

Oh, yes!! I forgot you'd be a Buckeye fan :). My parents went to Ohio State so I've been a lifelong fan.

But... I went to Texas A&M and this rivalry with LSU is something else. And the games are on at the same time!!! :(

So I'll be switching back and forth.
Send out some good vibes for the Aggies!

Co2 scrubber is hooked up and running.
Ph this morning at 6:30 was 7.8 per the monitor. Switched on the scrubber and we will see what happens.
Have it set up as recirculating so it pulls air direct from skimmer lid, feeds through media and back to skimmer intake. It's not a "sealed" system so I imagine there is some fresh air leakage but how much is unknown. Will check ph level periodically and update accordingly.

doesn't need to be sealed. the intake pulls it through.

My dad went to A&M and I was born there, so go Aggies!

Edit: Ohio too!

Forgot skimmer was on a timer. Went down and found ph at 7.78. Turned everything back on. Condensation in the air lines so I know it's flowing. Skimmer is at about 2/3 power. We will see where we are at lunch.

I think I had the airlines mixed up on the scrubber. So I switched them. Not sure if it mattered or not since it's air and not liquid and since it's a recirculating system but hey.
Set up the new dosing reservoir I got new off FB. So now it looks nicer. Whatever, right. Recalibrated the dosers as well.

The mini flamingos are great. I honestly don't see why people don't have snow picnics. It should be a thing!

We do snow picnics on occasion, little fire, some sleds, always fun :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

And the wife is from FL, we have a number of flamingos in the mix here :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
