First time I used the internet it was to connect to servers at two major teaching hospitals. Dial the phone listen for the tone and place it in the cradle. Only teletype interface no screen! First computer class was all on an HP Mainframe with old monochrome screens or teletype. Wow now I have a leash on with my cell phone. I believe we were all more productive and happy before the current smart phone genesis!

oh well then that explains it. I just watched the first episode of all in the family on utube. Its amazing how so little has changed in 50yrs.

My husband was quizzing me on cartoons I watched growing up - most of which was met with a blank stare. Finally he asked me what I watched when I was little.

The Waltons, Bonanza, Happy Days.... etc....

He forgot my dad and I lived with my grandparents during my key cartoon ages. Grandpa and I watched tv together and ate peppermint patties. Grandpa controlled the remote.

This is maybe why I'm a grumpy old man at heart.
