Third time better be the charm

Enjoying the hammock tonight.

He is so cuddly and normally doesn't do this. He prefers laying on my legs and making my feet fall asleep. I think this was due to space limitation on the hammock. He was also digging his boney elbows into my chest so cute but really uncomfortable.

Lucky you. All of my hounds will nuzzle my neck, especially when I tie my shoes. Personal space? Nope, doesn't exist with dogs.

Maybe you dont give him a lot of chances for neck nuzzles.

I gotta know, WHY do dogs like to nuzzle the jugular?
All my dogs have done this and it's creepy!!!
Maybe you're the problem. It's a sign of submission and affection. Puppies do this to larger dogs to show no bad intentions. It often transfers to their human pack leaders as well.

I guess I'll go remove myself. dang, sucks being the problem.

Some one decided to come out and say high. He is so shy. I have never had a fish that was this way. It was so funny. We were playing peek a boo. Very cool fish. Just happy he is finally coming around. He's thick still so I sm not sure what he's eating I haven't seen him actually eat yet. But he's not skinny as far as I can tell. I did a second dose of prazi on Monday so I am not sure if that helped or not. His left eye looks a bit cloudy I don't know if that's from hiding in the rocks or internal issues. Going to keep an eye on it since I can see him better now.

Lovely Blue Throat! How big is he?

I think he's 4".

Ps, hows the swallow tail???
He's doing great eating like a pig. Feeding the tank 2x now to keep everyone happy and nutrients up. The tank definately likes high nutrients.

I couldn't fill the bucket full because it would have been too heavy to lift. These 2 buckets filled to the blue lines plus the 1 gallon I already have makes 5 gallons.
Going to try and bottle as much as I can tomorrow and then start sending them out.
not knowing where you are located or what plants your bees frequent I'm wondering if you notice a difference between spring and fall harvest?

when we kept bees they had access to 14 blueberry bushes planted in the early 1960's and a wildflower meadow.

i preferred the fall harvest as the spring always tasted more fermented(?) almost like an IPA, which wasn't very appealing.

Yes season to season and year to year it varies. First year spring linden was minty. Summer was light and sweet fall left for them for winter. Second year was completely different because I missed the linden. Fall was goldenrod. This year again completely different, spring was so dry the honey is super thick and amber in color. I have tons on linden and locust in the spring, dearth isnt too bad bc I am in suburbs so they have quite a bit to draw off. Fall is goldenrod. Stinks like nasty gym gear but tastes amazing.
