Third time better be the charm

I can attest that this is true

HOB skimmers have a tendency to overflow onto the floor. 3 times in my case and will never use one again.

For a FOWLR I would go the 6 ft. So many more options for fish! Which is part of the reason people go for a FOWLR is all those pretty fish that eat coral, but those fish also tend to be bigger. In the long run I think you would regret anything shorter.
Yeah no hob skimmer. Going to run it to the basement where I will use the 100g rubbermaid tub as the sump. Lots of rock and a decent skimmer in that. Should be able to keep some cuc or macro in it as well. I am limited on budget and don't think another 6footer will work unless I go narrower front to back 18 instead of 24. We have plenty of time to decide. Mike is coming over Sat/Sunday to assess the floor/ceiling situation as well as the additional electrical.

Cleaned the glass.

I’m so glad my selective reading stopped at the post about the HOB skimmers. On an all in one what does one do? Just water changes?
My office tank is a 40g IM AIO. All I do is water changes in that. But it only has 2 clowns and a mantis shrimp. Tons of BTAs and a few random corals. May end up moving what's in it over to the new tank when it gets set up.

Wish the quality was better but oh well. It's something.

Did a water change on the office tank.

White Star. Wanna come? I got your first airfill?
I would love to!
Not to sure if this old body can take doing this any more.
Last great trip I took was BM(before marriage) and raising a family.

I won't say how many years ago that was.
I still maintain my PADI certification of Rescue Diver.
Whitestar - is the old rock shaft still open or did they seal it off with netting so you couldn't dive the shaft any more?

You can still get down it but it's tight and only 75ft so not really worth it unless your in a dry suit. I did it for my advanced cert years ago. They rent gear now too and the restrooms are way nicer too. Dive Fest is July 27 if you wanted to come out then too;) we seriously need to get together tho one way or another.
Bucket list is a great white dive in south America. Jealous.

Pop Tart seems happy and the clowns have finally desided they don't want to kill each other. They love stalking The mantis when he cruises the tank.

Definitely need to get me some different colored Monti caps, love the orange!
that thing is the SPS equivalent of a BTA. Grows like crazy and takes over everything.

Jarred up the last of the honey. Spring haul. 12 half pints, 20 pints and 11 quarts. I have another 64 oz that I kept back to feed just in case they need it during summer dearth. So total is 832 oz. 6.5 gallons. Give or take an ounce.
