Honestly, based on those pics, I would say it looks like a frag of some Platygyra species or some sort of brain coral like that. The meandering, fused polyp walls with pronounced ridges and the "texture" of the fleshy parts are suggestive of that to me. It's an interesting color form though.

I'm leaning towards a wilsoni as I have 3 in my tank right now and the polyps and flesh pattern resembles the ones I have in my tank.

I thought there was some resemblance structurally, but based on the scale to his finger, I would lean away from that. Most of the S. wilsoni I've seen have huge meandering walls in comparison. This frag only looks to be a couple/three inches across--too small to have such a dense pattern of walls if it were Symphylia.

Whatever it is, it's amazing!

It is about 2 1/2 to 3 inches at the most. I know for sure its not a merulina and I agree with Nanofins a symphyllia has mush larger tissue, ithis is puffed up fully in the picture so I don't think its symphyllia. Ah well I guess I can keep calling it my mystery coral. This thing is so bright though, it glows right out the tank. I actually hate it too because everyone comes over and is like wow what is that, and all I can say is a coral.Well I guess I can frag it up and sell it for mega! J/k of course it is growing to nice for that fate. And thanks for all input.
