Hi All,

Was browsing the forum today and have been inspired to try to do this. I am making an effort to document my corals so figured I'd lost it here and keep a history of them!

I've had a reef tank since 1992 or so! When I was just 10 or 11. Actually it was my brother's (Ben) tank. He passed away in 1996 in a motorcycle accident. After he passed away, it was one of those things I just couldn't give up or let go. When I went off to college in 1999, I kept the tank at my parents' house, since living at the dorms, it was too difficult to keep the tank there. Through college, I probably moved my tank about 10 times. One time it was across town, from rowland heights to my apartment, it was a 150g with a good amount of corals. My buddy helped me and it took us about 16 hours to move everything....

Now almost 30 years later, I am still in the hobby. My current main display tank is a 750 gallon AGE aquarium, measuring 120x48x30. It's not really a display tank now as I have a bunch of sps on frag racks. For this thread I am going to post pictures of my collections. I also started an instagram to post just pictures, but I figured this would be a good way to document as well.

Now to start off. A classic, Oregon tort

Been trying to learn what makes these speciosas grow long term, it has been a struggle. These I’ve had now around 5 months. Finally seeing some growth and encrustation, so very excited about that.

Love them, but I've long since stopped buying them. The Creme de la creme is growing fine. Not sure if it is a speciosa though.
