This Breathing normal?

He does look like he's breathing a little fast. Is he breathing like that all the time? Is he new to the tank? Any signs of disease on any other fish? (cloudy eyes, spots, dusty looking coating, white stringy poop, etc)

Verify ammonia level and do a 25% water change. Increase oxygen level anyway possible. Even a Walmart battery operated air pump that comes with an airstone

Ammonia is 0..just tested....large water change yesterday... skimmer in tank...salfert Oxygen Test reads low. Inverts and coral do good but this last year fish don't. Hood is propped open quite Abit. Lots of agitation at surface. Temperature reads consistent at 78>

Keep white lights off will keep fish relaxed. As long as your readings are accurate, youre on track.
As far as low Oxygen in tank is there anything else I can do? I think this is the issues as the tank has been running 7 years and the fish not surviving had been an on going problem for last year. The Salfert Oxygen Test Kit reads 4-5. Would doing microbubbling help or leave stone from air pump hooked up? Thank you.
