It closes at night when the lights are off, opens during the day.

Looks like some sort of nem perhaps.

Can you get a pic with white lights. Agree possible nem. Would be sweet to end up with a free rfa

No, its never moved. Its been in the tank for about a year now. I had some aiptasia on that rock (thats what the white spots are) but this has never moved. It was smaller in lower light, I moved it to a higher light and it has opened bigger.

Manicina areolata.
Cool, I always wondered what that little guy was. It seems pretty tough, the rock was only shipped in wet paper towels, and it 2 day shipping. And then that rock sat in a bucket of tank water with no flow or heater for a day.

That's one of the corals I'd like to get my hands on , it seems to be super Hardy.

Does it need anything special? Ive not been doing anything for it. Like I said it seems bigger under more light, but thats about it.

It would likey like some meaty food once in a while it'll likey Grow alot once you start feeding regularly.

If it is Manicina it's an lps coral so stuff like chopped up mysis would be ideal.

Heck this is in my he state maybe I can take a tour lol.

Way back(think 4-5 decades) this was sold as brain coral and was always white from being bleached. Back then if you didn't have MH lights it didn't live.

Seeing as they're Atlantic corals I doubt we will be seeing them on shops any time soon, which honestly I don't get.

I know collecting has it's issues but if we grow them I see no issue.
