This hobby can be a real head scratcher

Before I left for an overnight trip, I checked the tank and everything looked good including one of my torches. I come back a little over a day later and find it dead. No rhyme or reason. Everything else looked great though, and the parameters were good.
This hobby has some “what in the world happened“ moments.

Hard to say. I had a camera setup, but it was pointed at the sump.

That’s bizarre. It’s almost as if our corals can sense when we are gone.

Yes it is entirely possible that it was on its way out before that night and I just failed to notice it while looking at the other corals. I agree that it seems like it went way too fast.
