I get hourly emails with my sensor readings.. So just a bit ago I get the usual:

Temperature 1 : 77.9F

pH-value 1 : 7.85pH

Redox 1 : 297mV

Conduct.(S) 1 : 35.3

Then I get an ALARM email and my wife hears the alarm go off on the P4

Alarm 000: Alarm: Temp 1 Display sump

Temperature 1 : 123.8F

pH-value 1 : 7.85pH

Redox 1 : 297mV

Conduct.(S) 1 : 27.4

Very weird!! you can see Temp and Salinity are way off!!! I log in and everything is back to normal...
Hmmm, don't like weird activity like that..
Anyone else experienced something like this??

This already happened to me sometimes.

It happens sometimes when emi or bubbles interfere with the probes.

Been rock solid for a year... and yes, bubbles on the conductivity probe drops the reading. But this was almost instantaneous and went right back to normal. Feels almost like a hiccup in the circuitry of the P4..
Hopefully it's just a random anomaly and not a harbinger of something to come..

I do not think it as to do something with bubbles.

Bubbles could affect the Cond readings but not at that point and not sure how they would affect the temp readings.

yes, I thought I was the only one. I also have my mitras wireless through the p4 and all of a sudden they flash lightning when I have the lightning off in the program just strange .

Got the same alarm again just 9 minutes ago... the one yesterday was at 9:59 am and today it was st 10:10 am.. weird glitch

Just to put it out there: every piece of equipment can fail. I highly suggest that you have your heater on an external dedicated temperature controller as well as the GHL.

Going to tag @Vinny@GHLUSA and @Marco@GHLUSA to see if they can think of anything.

Be interested to see if it happens tomorrow at the same time.

Since few environments are rarely the same, sudden spikes can be caused from nearby equipment emitting electrical noise.
That's why we have the Signal Filter feature. :)

See page 61 of our P4 Programming Guide.

Go to the probe settings and adjust the signal filter to a lower number to see if sudden spikes still occur.

Thanks Vinny! I haven’t done that yet but no spikes today. I do have a dehumidifier a few feet away that’s been there since the system came online.. Maybe it’s having some trouble and is producing some electrical disturbances.
